What is group personal training?

Group PT is more than a fitness class. It provides expert coaching at a lower cost than personal training as there are multiple people with you during your session.

We aim to keep our group coaching capped at a low number to make sure everyone gets the attention they need and to make sure you’re getting a personalised workout.

Group Personal training vs Fitness Classes:

Group PT: Provides personalised attention, detailed feedback, and tailored training plans. Each session focuses on your specific goals and progress.

Fitness Classes: Typically offer a general workout for all participants without personalised adjustments.

Group PT ensures you get the most out of each session with expert guidance and that’s why we also keep our groups capped a low number.

4-week timeline

  • Week 1: Laying the Foundations

    Objective: Identify the most suitable exercises and establish your strength levels.

    Details: Evaluate your current strength levels and mobility to determine the best exercise variations for you. We will focus on compound lifts with moderate weight to ensure proper technique and identify any weaknesses or imbalances.

  • Week 2: redefinding technique

    Objective: Perfect your form and technique for all key compound lifts.

    Details: This week, we concentrate on refining your form for the primary lifts focusing on precise movement patterns, proper joint alignment, and muscle activation. Video analysis and real-time feedback will be used to correct and enhance technique.

  • Week 3: increasing intensity

    Details: We’ll start to increase the weight used and the focus will be on maintaining proper form under heavier loads. This week we’ll also increase your accessory work to support the primary lifts.

    Benefits: Increasing intensity helps stimulate muscle growth (hypertrophy) and strength gains, ensuring your muscles are progressively challenged.

  • Week 4: testing strength

    Objective: Assess your strength progress with 1-5 rep max testing for barbell lifts.

    Details: In the final week, we’ll reduce the volume and focus on testing your maximum strength. You’ll perform sets of 1-5 reps at maximal weights for all main lifts.
